4. I initially wanted to pursue medicine but recently switched to biomedical engineering. This field has a lot of potential with new and existing technology that can improve the quality of life of many individuals. It also combines my love for biology and technology which intrigues me and excites me for my future.

5. My goal is to work in industry, specifically in the research and development of medical devices, specifically heart devices. I am deeply interested in cardiology because of my experience volunteering in the cardiac catheter lab at my local hospital. I was able to observe procedures like pacemaker implantations as well as learn from the cardiologists on the floor.
